With the outbreak of war, it's a good time to reflect on duality — Russia vs Ukraine, War and Peace.

The one who provided me with the greatest clarity on this is Jiddu Krishnamurti. His baseline is that the Truth is only One, not two or three or four. Most of us live in duality — essentially, good and bad, right and wrong, the fact and the idea — and we are always having this internal ongoing friction which wears us down.

If we move in life with the facts, the energy is creative. And when moving with ideas, the energy is destructive.

We meet the fact of violence with the idea of peace, but as Jiddu Krishnamurti says — the Truth is only one and that is violence. And when we sit with violence, meditate on it in all its forms and understand it completely — the violence drops — and we are left with Peace. It's amazing when you cognize it, and realize how you can practically use it in your life.

The Problem and the Solution — the fact is the problem and when we sit with the problem, meditate on it and study it in its entirety — the problem drops — and we are left with the Solution.

The Question and the Answer — the fact is the question and when we sit with the question, meditate on it and let it sink deeper and deeper — the question drops — and we are left with the answer.

The Question and the Answer has been very practical in my life. For example: I have $5,000 and would like to invest it in shares — the question is where should I invest this $5,000? Just sit with the question, meditate on it, let it sink deeper and deeper — it drops, and you have your answer.

Now this ties in with the great saint Ramana Maharishi — his baseline meditation is "Who am I?" In life we are going to have millions and billions of questions, but the mother of all questions is "Who am I?"
