Central Banking is the System of Wealth Creation

In my article "Who am I?" I referred to Srila Prabhupada saying in conversation that Krishna says: "This earth, water, fire, air, ether, mind, intelligence and ego — they are My eight separated energies."

Expanding on this, Srila Prabhupada also explains in his purports that Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether are gross energies, and that mind, intelligence and ego are subtle energies. These subtle energies are within us all.

When looking at the currency system, up until 1933 the system of currency was the gold and silver standard — a gross physical currency system. On 20 April 1933, President Roosevelt issued a proclamation that formally suspended the gold standard, prohibiting exports of gold and prohibiting the Treasury and financial institutions from converting currency and deposits into gold coins and ingots.

In August 1971, President Nixon closed the gold window in order to address the country's inflation problem and to discourage foreign governments from redeeming more and more dollars for gold. The Central Banking currency system was fully embraced — a subtle currency system.

As more and more nations, communities, organizations and individuals integrated into the subtle Central Banking currency system, it resulted in dynamic growth in the three subtle energies of mind, intelligence and ego.

The growth in these subtle energies has resulted in major discoveries, developments in technologies and significant improvement in living standards, and countless other ways.

This subtle Central Banking currency system is what provided the environment for the dynamic growth in the subtle energies of the mind, intelligence and ego.

There are many important aspects of the operation of the Central Banking system which I hope to get into in subsequent articles — it is quite evident that some nations have developed more than others — but for now, to distill it to a couple of lines:

With the gold and silver standard, the driving energy is of wealth conquering. With the Central Banking System, the driving energy is of Wealth Creation.
